Experienced inspection and production teams execute the established process, using specified programs and checks to ensure compliance and meet customer requirements. During this process, every team member is encouraged to make suggestions for improving the efficiency of the product manufacturing process

Inspection Process

SME's inspection process begins with an experienced Project Manager. For each process setup, the first part is verified by the setup operator according to the specified inspection guidelines. Once the setup operator has a part that is deemed within specifications, the setup part is taken to the inspection area where a specialized inspector will review the part for approval. In-process checks are sampled during the running process, and final inspections as well as visual inspections take place after all operations are completed

SME is a precision manufacturer, and our modern machinery, along with our creative thinking and innovation, enables us to perform with high consistency, accuracy, and repeatability in most tolerances. Factors such as part design and complexity, material selection, tooling, and manufacturing processes all impact the dimensional tolerances, but SME's overall operational tolerances consistently remain within the minimum allowable range
